Honduras is a Central American country that is mainly mountainous and has lots of potential for hiking.  While known for scuba diving and Mayan ruins, Honduras does have some excellent hiking trails, particularly in some of its national parks. November – April: This is the dry period; February – April are the ideal months in the northern part of the country.  Filter in the map to see the ideal months for each region
May: Could be ok, but could be too rainy or too hot
June – October: Rainy and/or hurricane risk

Climate: Tropical (dry and rainy seasons); hurricanes later in the year.  There are local climate variations so could be plus or minus a month

Hiking isn’t popular here (as evidenced by lack of info available) but there are lots of mountains to explore in Honduras. The main areas are in the north and western parts of the country. Some of the national parks where hiking trails are found include: Pico Bonito National Park, Cusuco National Park, Montana de Santa Barbara National Park, Cerro Azul Meambar National Park, La Tigra National Park. Montana de Celaque National Park. Highest Mountain: El Cerro de las Minas (2849 m) in the Merendón Mountains.
