Best Hiking Trails in Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas)


A toss up between UK and Argentina, but administered as a British Overseas Territory, the Falkland Islands are a group of islands off the coast of southern Argentina.  Remote and sparsely populated, there are low mountains here to explore and enjoy the rugged scenery and wildlife.  The main islands are East Falkland Island and West Falkland Island, where you’ll find hikes such as up Mount Usborne and Mount Tumbledown.  The best months to go hiking in the Falklands Islands are November to March.  Read on for more information on where and when to go hiking in the Falkland Islands.

Medium – Hard: There are walking guides (listed in the Websites section) but there aren’t any trails; it is good to get guidance from locals prior to embarking on hikes.  There is a helpful tourist board in Port Stanley.
