Best Hiking Trails in American Samoa


Belonging to the US, American Samoa consists of seven islands in the South Pacific, some of which are mountainous and have hiking trails.  Not to be confused with Samoa, which is a separate nation (and in relatively close proximity).  There are many trails to explore in National Park of American Samoa as well as outside of it, on three of the islands, Tutuila, Ofu and Ta’u. Accessibility of Hiking

Medium – To hike in the National Park of American Samoa, there is an excellent trail map and fairly easy to hike independently.  However many in the park and particularly outside of it, should be undertaken with a guide.  Difficult to go from island to island.
